Battlegrounds Mobile India, or BGMI as it is more commonly known, is the Indian version of PUBG Mobile. Developed by Krafton, the online multiplayer game has a battle royale format where players need to take their opponents out and be the last man standing. If you’re up-to-date with gaming news, you’ll know that BGMI is hugely popular with over 100 million registered players.
In BGMI, 90 players battle it out in a sprawling map filled with loot to find and places to hide. The map gets smaller as you enter the top 20, leading to a faster pace of gameplay and more intense battles. There are many strategies that you can use to win the game, so here are 5 survival strategies for BGMI.
BGMI: How to Survive in the Late Game
Here are some tips for BGMI which can help you survive for longer and win the game:
Know your Map
The more you play the maps in BGMI, the better you will get at looking for places to hide. Enemies might be around at every corner, and it’s a good idea to take cover when you know they’re coming. Items for healing and increasing your attacking power can be found at certain locations on the map, and you should have an idea of where you can pick these up without being spotted.
Avoid Unnecessary Travel
While it’s good to keep moving, the map will constrict in the late game and force you to stay in one place. Avoid using vehicles to get around, and locate a spot where you are protected from at least one angle. Running across an open field might get you killed by enemies who are at higher points with a vantage view. Make sure to conceal your movements by traveling between buildings or foliage.
Prioritize your Loot
There are lots of different items that you can get on the map while playing BGMI, and it’s important to learn which ones you should pick up. While getting a weapon and some medical supplies might be enough for you in the early game, later on, you will need to have a dependable inventory of gear. Make sure you have at least one powerful weapon as this gives you a decent fighting chance against your opponents who might be more well-stocked than you.
Use Headphones
Using headphones will enable you to hear sounds that you wouldn’t normally, such as the footsteps of enemies approaching and nearby gunfire. If someone has secured a vehicle, you will be able to hear them coming from miles away and prepare accordingly (this is why we wouldn’t recommend getting a car). With both audio and visual cues, you can have an edge over the others.
Communicate with your Squad
If you’re playing in a team, make sure the others know where you are at all times so that you can coordinate attacks. By communicating with your team, you can even distribute loot between yourselves and share battle plans. With good teamwork, you should be able to easily take down your enemies even when the tensions run high.
